Below are instructions for sketching in Photoshop.
1. Find a image on google images, one you wish to sketch over.
* Find a image not to complicated unless you are at a advanced level.
2. Drag your image to desktop.
3. Go to finder and click Applications, find Adobe Photoshop CS4.
4. Open up Adobe Photoshop CS4.
5. Go to
-File
-Open
-Desktop and scroll down to find your image.
6. Select your image and click open.
7. When your image has appeared look to right hand corner and you will find a layer called 'Background'
8. Below the layer are some little icons which appear to be a trash can and paper, the rest don't matter at the moment.
9. Select your background layer and drag it to the paper icon (the icon next to the trash can), you have now made a copy called 'Background copy'
10. Now select you 'Background' layer and drag it to the trash can icon, you are now left with the 'Background copy' layer.
11. Click on the paper icon to create a new layer. The new layer will appear blank, which is what you want.
Leave your new layer, for now.
12. Double click on you 'Background copy' layer and a box will pop up, look for the word Opacity.
13. When you have found the word Opacity, you will see it is at 100, we want to reduce the the opacity to 80. The background will seem to be kind of see through.
14. Now select the blank layer so it is highlighted as blue.
15. Down the left hand side there are various tools, we want to find the paintbrush. Go down 8 to find the paintbrush.
16. When you have selected the paintbrush, along the top you can change the size and appearance of any tool including the paintbrush.
17. To change the color go back to the sidebar on the left hand side, go to bottom where you will find two squares , one black and the other one white. Select the black on and choose your color.
18. When you have selected your paintbrush size and color, you may sketch over your image.
19. To color in go down twelve on the sidebar and select your colors at them bottom.
